Augora ("we", "us", "our") provides a marketing analytics and ads management platform for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use our dashboard at augora.ai and our event-tracking services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account information

When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your name, email address, and password (or social login identifiers). We do not store passwords directly.

1.2 Connected platform credentials

To provide our services, you may connect Meta (Facebook), Google (Google Ads), and Shopify. We store the access tokens issued to us via OAuth, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. We never expose these tokens to your end customers or to third parties.

1.3 Google API services (Limited Use disclosure)

Augora's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. When you connect Google Ads, we request the adwords scope to read your ad accounts, campaigns, ad groups, ads, and conversion actions, and to create conversion uploads when you configure that integration. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, do not transfer it to third parties other than as needed to provide the Service to you, and do not use it for any purpose other than what you authorize.

1.4 End-customer event data

Our pixel runs on your Shopify storefront and collects the same kinds of data the standard Meta Pixel collects: page views, product interactions, and checkout events. Personally identifiable information (email, phone, name, address) is hashed using SHA-256 before being transmitted to Meta's Conversions API. We retain raw and hashed event payloads in our database for analytics, debugging, and dashboard display.

1.5 Technical data

We log IP addresses, user agents, and timestamps as required for event matching, fraud prevention, and rate limiting.

3. Sharing of Information

We share data only with: (a) Meta, on your instruction, via the Conversions API and Marketing API; (b) Google, on your instruction, via the Google Ads API; (c) Shopify, to read your store data via the access token you authorized; (d) infrastructure subprocessors strictly required to operate the service (Clerk for authentication, Render for hosting, Netlify for our marketing site/dashboard delivery, Stripe for billing).

We do not sell personal information. We do not use data obtained through Google APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI/ML models.

4. Data Retention

Event data is retained for 24 months for analytics purposes. You may request earlier deletion at any time. Connected-platform credentials are retained until you disconnect or delete your store from Augora.

5. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may request access, correction, or deletion of your data. End customers of merchant stores should direct such requests to the merchant first; we will assist merchants in fulfilling such requests.

6. Security

All credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Transport is encrypted with TLS 1.2+. Tokens never reach the browser; the pixel snippet only contains a public store identifier and an ingest key scoped to your store.

Our service is not directed to anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to account administrators.
